Our Story
Sarbira Preece began her career in 2012 working with interiors from high-end hotel design, jewellery stores to luxury residential properties.
In 2019, when working with West Elm in London as an in-house interior designer, she started to notice a gap in the market - the everyday home owner, the solo entrepreneur with a startup business or even the pop-up vendor.
Where do you go to find great design at an affordable price?!
And so she created Bilik - Bilik. A Malay word for “Rooms”.
A homage to her dual heritage, and nomadic travels. A concept of bringing a world of design to your own spaces.
